Il n&rsquo;existe pas encore de consensus clair sur les indications des diff\u00e9rents types de proth\u00e8ses existants. Le but de cet article est donc de rassembler et de clarifier les indications trouv\u00e9es dans la litt\u00e9rature actuelle. L&rsquo;h\u00e9miarthroplastie, historiquement le premier implant largement utilis\u00e9, a perdu beaucoup de terrain par rapport \u00e0 l&rsquo;arthroplastie totale de l&rsquo;\u00e9paule, et ne garde sa place que dans des situations sp\u00e9cifiques.
